Netiv Batya Elemetary School
Netiv Batya is Yam Hachesed’s flagship program. It is a Bais Yaakov elementary School for girls, that focuses on providing the highest levels of education along with personal attention to each girl. Netiv Batya has been a great success and rightfully earned it’s reputation as a home for growth and excellence.

Hachnasat Kalla
We help young couples get married with dignity. Through our various collaborations with local businesses we are able to offer subsidized bed linen, towels, pillows, kitchenware, appliances, etc. For those destitute brides who cannot afford even cost price, we pay for these necessities. We also subsidize the wedding expenses for destitute kallahs.
Your donation will enable Yam Hachesed to expand this project to other areas (such as baby clothes) and make it accessible to more people.
Spark JLM – A Jewish Learning Center at The Heart of Jerusalem
Spark JLM is Yam Hachesed’s vibrant Jerusalem-based program for students and young professionals. What began as an evening youth initiative for the girls of Native Batya has grown into a thriving center of Jewish inspiration, offering weekly classes in Rechavia, uplifting Shabbat meals, and a welcoming community. Spark JLM empowers young Jews to explore their heritage, build meaningful connections, and shape their future with pride and purpose.
Therapy
We work closely with children from underprivileged families, and help them with therapy as needed. Some 30 of our students come from families plagued by drug or alcohol addiction, or the death of a parent. The Israeli government provides social workers, but not psychotherapists, for these children. Yam Hachesed steps in to fill this tragic gap by paying for intense therapy with an expert child psychologist.
Jewish Holidays
While most Jewish families feast on the holidays, many families can barely afford the basics. Therefore, before Rosh Hashana and Passover we distribute food vouchers to families in need. For years we gave food vouchers worth NIS 500 ($150) to the poorest families, but in 2021, due to lack of funds, we were unable to meet the need.

Tutoring
Underprivileged children often need an educational boost with private tutoring. Yam Hachesed provides these children with private tutoring in Hebrew, English, and math.
Your donation would enable us to provide tutoring to more children who desperately need it.
Bas Mitzvah party
Girls from “normal” homes celebrate their Bat Mitzvah with some kind of party. This is beyond the budget of most of the families of our students. Therefore, Yam Hachesed each year looks for a sponsor for a group celebration of the Bat Mitzvah class. Each girl is given a new dress and a piece of costume jewelry. A celebratory fleishig meal is served to the girls and their mothers.
